For your safety we only use quality A Grade safety glass for our shower screens. Serious personal injuries can result from breakages of inferior quality glass. We will specify the use of laminated safety glass or toughened glass in 6mm, 8mm or 10mm thicknesses depending upon the application.
You can choose from fully framed, semi-frameless or frameless designs with a large choice of durable anodised or powder coated finishes.
Our screens come in clear, translucent or tinted safety glass to ensure that there is a style that will suit your décor.
Northlakes Glass installs pivot doors for our shower screens which are the most practical and popular choice because they allow a wider opening than sliding doors. They are also more visually appealing and reliable than sliding doors.
Sliding doors are noisy, provide a smaller entry area and are harder to clean than pivot doors. They also have rollers that can jam and tracks that wear causing the door to become difficult to slide.
Pivot doors swing on strong stainless steel pins that are simple and provide smooth trouble free operation.
We can also install a special shower screen that is ideally suited to injured, disabled or elderly people. This unique design eliminates a potential trip hazard at the bottom of the door frame avoiding the need to lift your feet over the bottom of the frame. This innovative design is a must for hospitals and nursing homes to help prevent injuries that frequently occur from falling when getting in and out of the shower.
